THE OPPORTUNITY
At Sysco LABS, Agile is a part of the organizational fabric and permeates our culture at every level. As we’ve scaled in size, process implementation has become vital to our overall growth, and we continue to implement change initiatives while evolving as an Agile organization. We are currently on the lookout for a Team Lead/Senior Team Lead to join the Delivery Excellence team which is responsible for defining process across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of agile delivery to collaborate, lead change, and inspire teams towards excellence in delivery within an agile environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help teams to “be more agile” rather than “do agile” by being an advocate for Agile and DevOps.
- Directly work with the Senior Manager – Delivery Excellence to define, design and implement an organization wide Agile improvements strategy.
- Assist teams with adhering to Agile practices by performing periodic checks based on assessing Agile maturity and publishing the same to measure improvement over time.
- Encourage Agile teams to improve on their Agile engineering and quality practices using a metrics and data driven approach via state-of-the-art agile project management tools and in-house developed dashboards.
- Automate process team operations as much as possible, be the Product Owner of the in-house process tool suite to improve team productivity helping to serve engineering teams better.
- Observe Agile teams to identify coaching/training needs for continuous improvement of individuals and teams.
- Support running training programs on Agile across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- You are passionate about process improvements within software development, and you support teams to help them deliver greater value for Sysco with high productivity and quality. You also possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with 8+ years of industry experience working in software development and project management in an Agile environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Manager role
- 4+ years of work experience in an Agile software development environment with experience playing a Scrum Master role
- Expert knowledge in Agile methodologies and practices (eg; Scrum, Kanban).
- Exposure to CMMi, ISO 9001/27001, ITIL process frameworks would also be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering and testing principles, and high analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Hands-on experience in JIRA.
- Professional certifications such as PMI-ACP/PMP, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or ITIL would be an added advantage
- Exposure in championing causes and being a change agent
- Ability to collaboratively work across different teams and influencing without authority
